Connect Claude

Connect SearchChamp to Claude in 3 minutes.

Add SearchChamp as a custom connector, sign in once, and ask Claude about your rankings, opportunities, and audits inside any conversation.

Setup

Three steps.

  1. Add a custom connector

In Claude’s web app, open Settings → Connectors and choose "Add custom connector". Paste in the SearchChamp connector URL, which you’ll find under Settings → Connect your AI apps inside your SearchChamp workspace. This works the same way whether you're on Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise — it's an app-level setting, not tied to a specific model.

  2. Complete OAuth sign-in

Claude opens SearchChamp’s sign-in screen. Sign in with your existing SearchChamp account, choose the organization you want Claude to see, and approve access. Claude confirms the connector is active once sign-in completes. This is a standard OAuth session, not an API key — there's nothing to copy, paste, or manually renew.

  3. Try an example prompt

Start a new conversation and ask: "What’s up with my site today?" Claude calls the SearchChamp connector and returns a summary card with your latest rankings, opportunities, and audit status. From there, ask follow-up questions in plain language — Claude decides which SearchChamp tool to call based on what you ask.

Cowork scheduled tasks

Daily brief on autopilot.

Cowork scheduled tasks can call connector tools directly. Paste this recipe into a new scheduled task to get a standing daily brief with anything that needs your approval.

Every weekday at 08:00, call get_daily_brief for <your site> on the SearchChamp connector; list anything that needs my approval with costs; notify me with a short summary

Replace <your site> with the domain you want the brief for. Claude schedules the task, runs it every weekday morning, and only asks for your approval when an action needs it. The recipe above is just a plain-language prompt, so you can rewrite it freely — ask for a different time, a different frequency, or a narrower summary (for example, “only notify me if there’s a ranking drop”) and Claude will schedule the task accordingly.

Common questions

Connecting Claude — FAQ

01

Only what you approve during OAuth sign-in — you choose the organization Claude connects to, and every tool call is scoped to the sites your SearchChamp account can already access. Claude can't see or act on a site outside your own permissions.

GENERAL
02

The connector works with any Claude plan or app that supports custom connectors — Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise. It's an app-level setting, not tied to picking a specific underlying model.

GENERAL
03

On whatever schedule you set in the prompt — the example recipe runs every weekday at 08:00, but you can ask for a different time, a different frequency, or to skip weekends. Cowork runs it on that schedule and only interrupts you when an action needs approval.

CAPABILITIES
04

Yes — the recipe is just a plain-language prompt, not a fixed template. Rewrite it to ask for a narrower summary (for example, only ranking drops), a different tone, or additional detail, and Claude schedules the task with your wording.

CAPABILITIES
05

Revoking access from Settings → Connect your AI apps invalidates the connection immediately — any tool call Claude attempts after that fails until you reconnect and sign in again. A password change alone doesn't break an active OAuth session, but signing out everywhere will.

INTEGRATION & SCALE
06

Each sign-in scopes the connector to one organization at a time. To work across more than one, sign in again and pick the other organization, or add SearchChamp as a second, separately-configured connector if your Claude app supports multiple connectors of the same type.
