What you receive

Turn a free check into a useful decision

See how ChatGPT answers one buyer-style prompt, which domains the response cites, and whether your domain appears. The output keeps the actual answer and its sources together so you can assess relevance instead of reducing a nuanced response to a pass/fail badge.

How to use it

From input to interpretation

A short path from one focused input to a next step grounded in the result.

  1. Enter

Write a realistic question a prospect might ask and add the domain you want to check.

  2. Run

Run the analysis to retrieve the available ChatGPT answer and source references.

  3. Review

Read the answer first, then inspect cited domains and your domain-presence signal.

  4. Act

Turn gaps in the answer or source list into a focused content and evidence plan.

The core concept

What the ChatGPT Prompt Analyzer tells you

Prompt analysis studies a specific answer in its full context: the wording of the question, the response’s claims, the brands it names, and the sources it cites. Small wording changes can shift intent and therefore change the answer.

Read the output

Every field, explained

Prompt
The exact question analyzed; it defines the intent and boundaries of the result.
Answer
The response returned for that run, preserved for qualitative review.
Cited domains
Source domains explicitly supplied with the answer, not domains inferred from brand mentions.
Domain present
Whether the domain you entered appears in the available citation data.
Where this check is useful

Who should use the ChatGPT Prompt Analyzer?

Best fitContent strategists

Test one research, comparison, or purchase question and review the complete answer before deciding which content gap matters.

Best fitBrand teams

Check whether ChatGPT describes the brand accurately and which sources it uses for the surrounding claims.

Best fitSEO practitioners

Trace citation opportunities back to accessible, attributable pages without treating a single answer as a ranking report.

Interpretation guide

Read the signal in context

  1. Strong signal

A relevant answer that cites your domain is a strong signal for this prompt, but not proof across other questions.

  2. Weak signal

A useful answer that cites competitors or publishers instead points to a source and authority gap worth studying.

  3. Ambiguous signal

An answer with no citations, unclear intent, or a transient error is inconclusive; refine the prompt or check again.

Action playbook

What to do after the result

WhenYour domain is cited

Confirm the cited page is accurate, current, and aligned with the claim the answer makes.

WhenOthers are cited

Study the evidence format and topic coverage of those sources, then improve the most relevant page rather than copying wording.

WhenThe answer misses the intent

Rewrite the prompt in natural buyer language and separate research, comparison, and purchase intents.

Put it in context

Prompt analysis is not prompt tracking

An analyzer gives depth on one answer. Monitoring uses a stable portfolio of prompts to compare engines, competitors, sentiment, citations, and change over time. Use the free analyzer for investigation and tracking for trend decisions.

Practical guide

Use the result with confidence

How do you choose a useful ChatGPT prompt to analyze?

Write the question a real prospect would ask, including the category, use case, constraint, or comparison that shapes the decision. A prompt such as “best software” mixes too many intents; a specific question about a buyer type and task produces an answer you can interpret. Keep the first run neutral. Adding your own brand name tests branded recall, not whether the brand appears naturally during category research.

Treat prompt wording as part of the evidence. Research, comparison, and purchase questions can surface different brands and sources even when they share a topic. Preserve the exact text with the result so another person can reproduce the investigation instead of relying on a paraphrased memory.

How should you read the answer and cited domains together?

Read the answer before scanning the domain list. Determine what the response is trying to solve, which claims matter, and whether your category is framed correctly. Then connect each available source to the claim it appears to support. A cited domain can be a company, publisher, directory, community, or primary reference; those sources represent different kinds of authority and different realistic next actions.

Domain present is a precise but narrow signal. It says the entered domain appeared in the citation data returned for that run. It does not prove that the most suitable page was cited, that the answer was favorable, or that the source drove a visit. Open the relevant page and verify that its information is current before using the result in a report.

Why can the same ChatGPT prompt produce a different answer?

Generated answers are not fixed search result pages. Available retrieval, model changes, timing, conversation context, and other system conditions can alter both wording and sources. A changed response is not automatically evidence that your content improved or declined. Repeat the exact prompt and retain dates before drawing a directional conclusion.

For campaign measurement, define a stable set of unbranded prompts and review them on a consistent cadence. That is the point where a monitored workflow, response history, competitor comparisons, sentiment, and citation changes become more reliable than isolated manual checks.

  • Keep the prompt neutral and specific.
  • Interpret citations in the context of the claim they support.
  • Use repeated, saved prompts for trend decisions.
Methodology and limits

Know what the check can—and cannot—prove

How the result is produced

SearchChamp submits the supplied prompt to the supported ChatGPT workflow and displays the answer and citation data returned for that run.

Limits of a free snapshot

One generated response is variable and cannot represent all users, models, sessions, or future answers. Domain presence does not establish recommendation strength or traffic.

Evidence basis

The page describes only what the analyzer returns for the submitted run: the exact prompt, ChatGPT answer, cited domains supplied with that answer, and whether the entered domain appears in those citations. It does not infer recommendation strength, market share, traffic, or a durable ranking from one response.
