Strategic opportunities
Evaluate long-horizon authority plays before committing them to your content plan.
The Strategic lane holds larger opportunities designed to build authority over time. These often involve a topic cluster, multiple supporting pages, or a meaningful new area of coverage.

Evaluate the commitment
Before queuing a Strategic opportunity, confirm:
- Strategic fit — the theme supports a durable audience or business priority.
- Coverage gap — your current site does not already answer the same intent well.
- Authority path — you can create enough useful supporting content and internal links to make the cluster credible.
- Capacity — the expected effort fits the team and publishing plan.
- Measurement — you know which rankings, traffic, leads, or visibility signals will show progress.
Plan a cluster
When the recommended action is Plan Cluster:
- Open the opportunity and review its source and evidence.
- Define the central page and the supporting questions it should cover.
- Check existing pages for overlap before adding new briefs.
- Queue the approved work and open This Week's Plan.
- Sequence the cluster on the Strategy Board rather than publishing every page at once.
Strategic work can have high upside even when it is not urgent. Compare it with Quick Wins and Growth items before using near-term capacity.
